Supplies Needed
You will need:
- A small decorative wooden box
- Floral foam
- Moss squares
- A variety of faux flowers in whatever color you desire.
- Miniature fairies and fairy accessories
- Twinkle lights (whatever type you prefer)
- Leaf placemats
IMPORTANT: When buying miniatures, be sure to take note of measurements and that they will work within the parameters of your project!
Lets make the centerpiece!
Step 1
Arrange floral foam blocks inside of the box to the desired height and width.
Step 2
Pick the fairy accessories you want to use. Place them where you would like and make sure they will fit nicely. This will help you decide how you want to arrange the flowers.
I initially had a completely different design envisioned. Once I placed fairy accessories on the block, I realized they wouldn’t work. I wound up reducing the amount of fairy items I planned on using.
Step 3
Place the square of green moss in the center and cut down to size as needed.
As you may notice in these pictures, I started adding flowers before I placed the moss on the foam. That was a mistake. I highly recommend you lay the moss down first 😉
Place the accessories on top of the moss as you would like them to look.
Step 4
Trim the flower stems down to size and start placing the flowers symmetrically in the foam. Focus on the edges of the centerpiece first.
Simply push the floral stems into the foam at the desired angle.
*TIP: Keep symmetry and color scheme in mind when arranging the flowers. If you add 2 purple flowers on one side, add 2 purple flowers on the opposite side of the centerpiece. If you place pink flowers on one end, place pink flowers in a similar pattern on the other end of the box. This is an easy way to make sure that your arrangement looks aesthetically pleasing.

Be sure to hold on to leaves when you trim down your floral stems. You can use them to fill in blank spaces.
Step 5
Fill in the center of the centerpiece. I placed some taller floral stems around the fairies and accessories to give the illusion they are miniature and in the middle of a forest.Remember to make all angles of the centerpiece aesthetically pleasing. You want everyone sitting around the table to enjoy the view!
Step 6
Add butterflies, birds, or any other forest creatures to the centerpiece.
Step 7
Add twinkle lights around the centerpiece. I was originally going to intertwine small twinkle lights into the centerpiece. However, I came across these large flower lights and decided to use them outside of the centerpiece instead!
Step 8
Arrange leafy placemats around the table for each guest to complete the fairy/forest look! I found these at the store, but know that other people have actually made these by hand! Add in a teapot and some teacups and you’re all set!
Enjoy!
That is it! That’s all it takes to make a Fairy Tablescape for a whimsical dinner table or fairy-themed party!
