Materials:
These are the materials you will need if you wish to do all of the DIYs listed below. Otherwise, we’ll list what you need for each individual craft.
Option 1: Sand and Sea Shells Beach Party Centerpiece
You’ll need:
- A glass container
- Some decorative sand
- Some seashells, preferably in different shapes and colors
Steps to create:
- Pour decorative brown sand in the jar until it is about one-third full.
- Place the shells around the sand however you like. Be creative! I personally love the look of the starfish standing up. I also tossed in a piece of left over sea shell necklace from the DIY Tic Tac Toe box. You can find the DIY for the box here.
Option 2: Jar O’Shells Beach Party Centerpiece
You’ll need:
- A glass container
- Seashells
Steps to create:
- Pour seashells into the glass container until it is two-thirds full.
- Add a starfish or two if you want. That’s it!
Option 3: Beachside Scene Jar Beach Party Centerpiece
You’ll need:
- A glass container
- Blue decorative glass
- Sand
- A cocktail umbrella
- Small shells
Steps to create:
- Pour some sand into a glass container.
- Tilt the sand to the side of the glass container.
- Carefully pour blue decorative glass on the empty side of the container. The goal is to make it look like the coastline.
- Place a few small shells on the sand.
- Open a cocktail umbrella and stand it upright in the sand.
- Get a small action figure and place it under the umbrella if you like. My girls insisted I put Wonder Woman under the umbrella 😊
Some extras you can try:
- Create more visual interest in your beach party centerpieces by placing the glass bowls at varying heights. You can pick up some inexpensive candle holders of varying heights and glue them to each glass bowl. If you pick up glass candle holders from the dollar store, you can use E-6000 glue to glue the glass bowl and candlestick together. Just be sure to allow it to dry for several hours. You can also spray paint the candle holders to whatever color you wish to use.
- If you like, you can place the beach party centerpiece on an unfinished slab of wood and throw some shells around it to add a nice decorative beachy touch to your table.

Please share your creation with us once you complete your beach party centerpiece project!
